I wanted to update you on some upcoming changes regarding the W.I.N. Newsletter. Let me first explain how I set up the newsletter approximately five years ago. I was new to the whole aspect of newsletters and blogs so I set this up as a weekly newsletter that would go out in sequential order. If you signed up when the newsletter first started you would have received 218 weekly newsletters and over the past year you would have received newsletters sporadically. If you signed up today you would get issue #1 and get a newsletter every week for the next 218 weeks. Over the past year I have been remiss in not writing this newsletter regularly and apologize to those of you who have been with me the last 5 years. In retrospect I should have just started a weekly blog, but I admit I was ignorant as to the blogging world back then. I asked myself What's Important Now? and the following is the result of that reflection.
Starting next week there will be a new blog style newsletter coming to you every Wednesday morning. For those of you between newsletters #1 and #218 that means you will get two a week. I know you get a lot of stuff delivered to your inbox every day so I ask for your indulgence and encourage you to hang in there with me. I will strive to make each week's post worth your while. These will be titled W.I.N. Wednesday - Lessons From Life's Most Powerful Question.
We are working on building a Life's Most Powerful Question website that will have additional information and resources.
We are expanding the W.I.N. Seminars beyond law enforcement, which has been our primary target audience since I started talking about Life's Most Powerful Question - What's Important Now? 10 or 12 years ago. The W.I.N. seminars I have delivered so far have been well received. Please contact me if you are interested in bringing the W.I.N. message to your organization, your conference or your association meeting.
Starting in November we will be running a Life's Most Powerful Question contest. I will be inviting you to submit:
- Stories from your life that best exemplify the W.I.N. philosophy,
- Quotes that capture the essence of W.I.N.
-
Photos that illustrate W.I.N.
I will share some of those stories, quotes and photos on the website (with your permission) and will draw names from all the entries entries for some great prizes. Look for details at the end of October.
Thank you for your continued support and for taking the time to read this.
Take care.
Brian Willis,
A man with many questions
