"Don't be distracted by criticism. Remember--the only taste of success some people get is to take a bite out of you."
Zig Ziglar
If you are willing to engage in the pursuit of excellence, you will face criticism.
If you are willing to Dare to Be Great, you will face criticism.
If you are willing to step up and lead, you will face criticism.
If you are optimistic, you will face criticism.
If you are a speaker, teacher, trainer or coach, you will face criticism.
If you are willing to write poems, short stories, articles or a blog, you will face criticism.
If you are willing to propose and champion new ideas, initiatives and improvements in the workplace, you will face criticism.
If you are willing to embrace the suck and look for the good, you will face criticism.
If you are willing to be vulnerable and say I don’t know, or I need help with this, or I am struggling, you will face criticism.
If you have the courage to do what is right when it is not what is popular, you will face criticism.
If you are willing to stand up and own up when you make a mistake, you will face criticism.
It is easy to be the critic. It is easy to criticize. It is easy to be a problem identifier. It is easy to be a skeptic and a cynic. It is easy because you do not need to have any ideas, plans, or solutions and you do not have to do any work. All you need to do is criticize other peoples' plans, ideas, thoughts and actions.
The problems of the world cannot possibly be solved by skeptics or cynics whose horizons are limited by obvious realities. We need men and women who can dream of things that never were.
John F. Kennedy
What’s Important Now? You have a choice. You can be one of the men and women who dream of things that never were, and work to make them a reality, or you can be the skeptic and cynic. Choose carefully.
Take care.
